Sharing a Letter:

I hope this message makes its way to Janet Toepert.  You have made my week.  My name is Rich Van Wyk.
We went to Franklin School together a long time ago.  I would have graduated with the class of '73 if I hadn't
moved from Saddle Brook to Rochelle Park...after the 6th grade.  I remember you for always getting straight
A's and never getting in trouble.  I didn't get straight A's...got in trouble now and then, and managed to be one of
the not popular kids.  I also remember you because our mothers went to grade school together.  I tripped
across your class home page while surfing the net.  What a blast...I've always wondered what happened to the people I hung
out with...Wayne Bargel, Michael Tizio, Brian Shortino, and Dr.?? Phil Desplatt.  After High School, I went to
college in Indianapolis, graduated,  went to work and in the process lost touch with just about everyone and
everything back home...yes I still regard NJ as my home.  While visiting my mother on vacations,  I would
detour through some of the old neighborhoods, hoping I might see a familar face.  I didn't.  I work for a TV
station as a reporter...sort of a professional story teller...it beats working for a living.  If you get this, please let
me know...I would also love to know how I can get in touch with any of my childhood friends.  If you have a
hard time picturing me...let me know.  I'll  sent an old class picture from Franklin with mine circled....or if you
are really bored, go to www.wthr.com and look under the talent section... Thanks for a wonderful web page
and bringing wonderful new faces to wonderful old memories.  Rich Van Wyk
